Recipes for Healthy, Low Calorie Mini Meals

This blog was born as the result of looking for recipes for mini meals to use while transitioning off of a well-known diet and not finding any! I normally eat 6 meals a day, albeit mini meals and that’s where this blog comes in. My goal is to provide simple, healthy and low-calorie recipes in small amounts that allow you to eat more frequently during the day and who doesn’t love to eat! Come join me at Simply Mini Meals!

A Favorite Afternoon Snack (and it’s Chocolate!!)

One of my favorite online stores is Live Superfoods where I buy Organic Goji Berries, Ecuadorian Cacao Nibs and Chia Seeds just to name a few. My husband and I use them in our Nutribullet drinks on a daily basis.

When poking around their site one day, I found Mint Berry Clarity Bars and I had to try them out. I’m not a huge chocolate fan, but I am a HUGE mint fan. Not so much of spearmint, but I absolutely love anything peppermint! Anyway, I ordered these Mint Berry Clarity Bar and they are now a favorite snack of mine in the afternoon when I want something sweet, but somewhat healthy!

These snacks contain cacao, blueberries, hemp seeds, peppermint oil, cacao nibs and salt crystals. The chocolate is a little hard, so be prepared to really bite down, but the crunchiness of the cacao nibs and salt crystals really satisfies my chocolate and mint cravings. These are dairy-free, made from non-GMO ingredients and also contain blue-green algae, spirulina and chlorella. For those of you who really don’t care for mint like me, they also have them without mint. You can’t go wrong!
